We’re saying goodbye to this monumental drag/vogue/ballroom production by eliminating the competition and highlighting a fierce showcase of artists curated from the last five years of Critical’s history and queer magic.
Critical Mascara is a container that invites you in on the explosive, fabulous, and nuanced excellence of queer identity through politically charged drag, high concept runway looks, and fierce vogue battles.
This year we dance the house down together. We will provoke, inspire, and engage each other communally. We cruise to new utopias not in competition but in celebration. We honor the histories and challenges we’ve inherited. We close the circle and will learn to re-apply our mascara in new ways, because change is not only needed, it’s critical.
